Goggleyed

Goggleyed is a small online business established in 2010 by two friends living in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. The original inspiration for selling prescription swimming goggles came about when one of the founders, who is shortsighted, was struggling to read the signage and recognize other people at the pool and thought about doing something about it. Other swimmers at the pool who wore glasses were of the same mind, including those who were longsighted and wanted to see close-up objects such as their watch more clearly. The prescription goggles that were available at the time either offered the same lens power for each eye only or were expensive full prescription goggles supplied by opticians so it seemed an opportunity existed to provide an immediately available, inexpensive product assembled in accordance with individual prescriptions.
